1. Check out fitness classes on-demand on cable! On my cable guide I found cardio, kickboxing, ballet body stretch, and several others for FREE! Great option if you're tight on cash but still want to get that work out in! Just scroll through you cable guide and see what's listed! Or call your cable provider for me info.
2. Ditch cable. Canceling cable can save $500 a year. There are alternatives including Hulu, Hulu Plus ($8 per month), and Netflix ($8 per month).
3. Pick a bank and/ or credit cards that pay you back! Seek out perks like a great cash back, loyalty perks, ATM fees, high interest on savings accounts, and no overdraft fees. If you're not getting perks from your bank or credit cards, you're missing out!
4. Whip up your own greeting cards. From “thank you” notes to birthday cards, all it takes to make a classy-lookin’ DIY card is some cardstock and a little creativity. Store-bought cards can cost around $4.99 and chances are they’ll be tossed in just a few days. Handmade cards are cheaper and mean so much more!
5. Have a "clothes swap" party with your friends and/or family. A clothing swap is a party where you and your friends bring an agreed upon amount of clothing and/or accessories to the event. All of the items are fair game, so you can trade, barter, and donate clothes to your friends while snagging some new stuff to breathe new life into your closet. Remember the old saying that someone’s trash is another person’s treasure? The same principle applies to a clothing swap. While you might be tired of your red pumps, they might be just what one of your friends have been looking for.
